December 20

Tuesday. After packing this morning, Marco came down way early to make us breakfast again..ehhh...we headed of to the Uffizi Museum...Omg the stupid guy called me a dumb american, sonya told me!! I gave him a 50 euro and the ticket was 11 so he kept saying 1 euro and i'm like "wtf" so i tried to give him two 50p and he got annoyed and i'm like "wtf..it's 1 euro" arghh, then we saw the replica of the boar!! And you can't really take pics, well none at all but i snuck in a couple!! We saw the The Birth of Venus (Botticelli) and the other venus one called?? Then we went to have lunch at....JERSEY SHORE'S PIZZERIA !!! OMG soo exciting.. It's called O'Vesuvio and is smack dab in the center of Florence...I got mushroom/mozzerella pizza..mm so delicious.

Our last stop was to the The Accademia to see Michelangelo's David. I had no expectations...since I thought the Thinker was huge, but it was a disappointment.. but wow..when I saw David..wow.. it was huge..gigantic!! The museum is small, and i think i spent a majority of the time was spent staring at it..Then we rushed to go home to grab our luggage and try NOT to miss our bus to Pisa...we had 5 mins to spare..holycrap...almost missed it!! The bus ride was over an hour...and it left at like 430...When we got to Pisa airport we took a bus to our hostel..it was a 6 person dorm room and only one girl was white LOL...she was from czech republic.. Everyone bought simple food to make, but i went to a restaurant and ordered pasta..to go..and it's supposedly homemade noodles..not bad..very healthy.

Wednesday. I woke up at 730? Was suppose to leave at 830 to go to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but we lagged and walking was like 20 mins!! WTH... So we were running outta time..took some pic and scrammed but didn't know how to get back and by the time we got on a bus, me and christina, sonya stayed in the center because her flight back to paris was later.. we missed our train...eehhh...so they let us on the next one because we had unreserved seating so we can use it up to 7 days..and when we got to Florence to change trains, we were so lucky that the next train to venice didn't leave yet, and it was only an hour past when we missed our first one so we paid an extra 8 euro to hop on the next one, if we missed this one, we would have to buy a new ticket!! The stupid conductor was dumb, thinking it's been two hours so we were like arguing and he finally checked his watch and was like "oh.."

So we landed at the train station in Venice...and just walked across a bridge and 3 mins down the canal and we were at our hostel! We got a private room but it smelled like old people..ewww, but very clean. Since it was like only 3pm..we went out at 4pm to buy our waterbus ticket for 24 hours. they don't have buses..they have boats as metro....since Venice is divided by a canal...

We walked around for a couple of hours..like 4...checking out most of the shops and trying to find a good place to have dinner..We settled for dinner at Marco Polo which we scoffed at when we read the name...I got a three course meal, it was pasta with mushrooms then the main was fish filet with veggies and homemade dessert. It was really good, the fish, and pasta..dessert was very coconutty..it was coconut cake i think. Christina got the squid pasta so it was black! Soo good too, I tried. At the end our waiter came and asked us if we wanted lemon chello, which we have been looking everywhere for...ON THE HOUSE!! YEAHHHH, he's a sommelier, so nice of him! It was a shot, soo friggin strong and acid..lemony. Then we headed back on the waterbus to our guesthouse...

Thursday. We checked out at 9am, check out time is 10am, and we headed to the Academia where there's suppose to be this Leonardo Da Vinci's painting of christ, went through the whole museum..and couldn't find it, so I asked and pointed it out at the gift shop and the guy is like noo...you can't see it, and the other guy was like "every 10 years for 2 months they put it away, cause it's fragile.." FML..really... Sad, we left to go to St. Marcos to find some lunch..was trying to find a cheap lunch, yenno maybe a sandwich for 4 euros or something...then Christina was like "i want pasta" so we decided if it' a cheap pasta place i'd go..and we found one that was like 12.50 euros..so we went in..sat down... ordered my pasta...they had no menu?!?! So we were scared of price..and the lady is like "what would you like to drink" and i told her i was fine..i had water and she said that i HAD to order a drink..WHAT?!?! so i ordered a cappuccino. We got our bread mm and our pasta..mine was white sauce with cheese and zucchini...very small but filling..when our bill came...we died...wtf...service charge was 2 euros each then 15% on top of our whole bill..more expensive than yesterday's three course!! OMG..and no free liqueur!

Then we stopped by the souvenir shop to get my Italia pin..and then went to Campo plaza...it was very boring but we had time to waste...just walked through and hopped on the water bus for a 2 hour ride til we needed to go...good view of Venice...Went back to guesthouse to pick up luggage and went to the bus station to take bus to Venice airport..then waited like 3 hours at airport for my flight back to London...
