Day 48, 49, 50, 51, 52, & 53

October 17

Monday. I got into work at 11, did some payroll stuff, aka paysummaries/timecards update. Alex and Jigna was at the 1st Associate Quarterly meeting, then Graham from property came and showed us his traveling pics...then Alex, Jigna, and I went to lunch...lunch was chicken in this red sauce over rice and I got a chocolate croissant. I was talking to them about my London Eye experience..and the Madam Tussauds..and Alex is like who is the person you ran to take a pic of..and i'm like Justin Beiber!!!! and hes like omg...my daughter hates him..she used to like him..then he's like..."who's the 2nd? wait, let me guess..robert patterson" aka twilight and im like "OMG..i was just about to ask you if you know twilight." Then I compiled all comments from each HOD about other HODs into diff files to send to Alex so he can use them to do meetings with each one (for twickeham).

October 18

Tuesday. Got to work a bit after 930..sophie was with me again..of kourse i have not much work, so she did the bdays/annis and I just call this woman from FD to do her exit interview for friday. I updated fire safety stuff...oh went to 10/10 as usual..some lady fro parliament is coming so they had metropolitan police here doing a check about. I typed up comments from the Newham college kids and sent it off to Alex so he can fwd to all associates to read. So hard to read! Their writing was soo messyy! Then I typed up some ref letters for associates..and signed them on behalf of Alex. I had pork with some red sauce..it's spicy for lunch..and took half a croissant for later...which ended up being part of my dinner...and i had this amazing mocha coffee at the vending machine ..omg i can't wait to go to work to drink it LOL. Got off at 330..went to gym...left at 615...and went to atm after getting off at Ealing since bus wasn't there...then went home :) Had the last slice of pizza for dinner..omg it's soo small..Will probably eat again.

So while I was crossing the Westminster Bridge, I have to cross it to get to Westminster tube station...this happened last night as well...I just sort of stared..at the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben...and if I look behind me, it's the London Eye and my hotel..and at the moment..it was like the world fell away..All my stresses js..left...the breeze from the River Thames blowing at me...and the sky was so beautiful..so dark blue...and the clouds...boy oh boy..and the feeling of after working out is amazing. I was just thinking, we all have our anger come out sometimes, our annoyed days...and I've had my fair share this weekend. Yes, I absolutely HATE living with people, in the same room, especially people i don't know, who weren't my friends before..but I can't let that hurt my UK experience in anyway. Like, I feel really blessed, that 's how I felt...to be able to call London my home...to work for Marriott...to...walk by the houses of parliament almost everyday...I mean how many people get to do that? I haven't let things get me down in a while, and it was just this weekend that I was like "Ahhhh, get me outta here!" but I making it a promise from now on to really fully utilize my time here, go to places, even if it means going alone, I just want to experience everything London has to offer, I probably won't have a chance to come back, so why not??? This experience was definitely more..epic when it was in the moment..I wish I can capture it in a photo, but alas, it's something that has to be felt/seen in life. The beauty around me is amazing....and i hope I never forget that, i hope i never take it for granted.

Ran the office alone today again...So glad Sohee will be back so I dont have to go to 10/10 meetings again, i love them, but i have to go in at 930...Throughout the day I finished the org chart, went over payroll, a bit confusing as some titles don't match up so will follow up on that..Did an exit interview which means I basically gave them the sheet and told them to fill out what they thought about stuff. Also separated pay slips..getting to know who is in which dept more and more. Then lunch! It was the themed lunch of the month, which means...---HALLOWEEN! A lot of the lights in the Galley was off. Carlos from bar was dressed as...a witch i think with his long nose lol. We had really nice seasoned potatoe wedges , pork strips and cauliflower with cheese over it, apparently what i thought was carrots was..pumpkin and it was good..fail! I had the bread and butter pudding...mm delicious!

Today Zac and I headed out at 1230 to go to Portobello Market, I wanted to see the WHOLE thing this time...It was a good time. There was lots of crepes everywhere, and it took soo much self restraint to not buy one, because I needa save $$. There was a fruit market, then a flea market. I went to this print/poster store I went to last time and got mini prints of the keep calm and carry on printed on a london flag then the banksy graffti artist's girl with the heart floating away. We walked around this lil antique store, haha, reminded me of stuff my dad would love lol! It's such a push-pull situtation. I miss my parents! and everything, but I'm finally settling down in london and before you know it, I'll have to pack up and go again!! Then we went back to Ealing and went grocery shopping because it's such a uncomfortable feeling having no food at your flat.. so I stocked up so much...raw chicken, drumsticks, steak, pasta, cheese, ham, bread, omg...I will go again tomorrow to buy more food because I just lovee food. Then I came back, napped for an hour..then went to eat at Clay Oven this indian place in Ealing with Chrissy, Zac and Taylor, then we stopped by Northstar pub, got a strawberry beer then went to Earls of lonsdale at Notting Hill then went to this other pub after...met Vincent's friends..
