Wednesday. I have finally gotten to England!! I left last night on Tuesday around 11pm, I was so tempted to give up my seat to take the flight next day when they offered $1300 check and a free night stay at Hilton. Sigh* So after a 6 hour flight, Conor and I took the tube, and then a black taxi to our apartment! I met my roommate, Allie, then Chiyo came later on (we're in a triple, I took top bunk, chiyo is on bottom and lucky allie is on her own bed). Then the one with the single came after (Katie). Chilled for a bit, unpacking, then went on a tour of Ealing with the CAPA person Bernie. Then me and bunch of people went to the pub (says Guinness for some reason) forgot the pub name! So it was me, chiyo, allie, katie, wendy, will, chad, and taylor. I got myself a Foster beer ( from Australia?) 3.20 lbs. Then walked around Mark and Spencer's and I got a salad cause I was starving. Then Chiyo and I walked back to the apartment because we couldn't find anyone!!! :( Ate my salad, called my mom...and I guess I forgot my usb cable for my camera at home..though I couldn't find it when I looked! Then we all headed back to town again, to get some takeaway, i ordered a grilled salmon teriyaki rice 6.75lbs from Hare&Tortoise. Then we waited for the bus, foreverr, to come back...Everyone was drinking, but me being the sleepy head just ate my food and attempted to stay awake. We were upstairs in the "penthouse" where a bunch of guys live...so we'll probably be there alot as I think that's the place everyone will be at. Around 10 everyone went to the pub while I headed to bed because i was EXHAUSTED, fell asleep the minute I laid down

Thursday. I actually woke up at 6am..because I was soo cold, so during our apartment tour, Bernie said our rugs are heated, ahaha, whack right?? I was just online for like an hour, then i went back to sleep in the cold, later i realized I just need to turn the knob to a higher degree so it's warmer. Had the London Orientation meeting at 4. I woke up at 1....yikes. We ate at $@^@$&^@%&% and I got fish and chips!!! Then we went grocery shopping for the apt...then went up to the "penthouse". Chilled, then went out to a club....of kourse we all get lost, but when we did find it, like our group broke up in thirds. That place was closed that night! So we went to this other club witha 3lbs cover fee, drank a beer in there...omg..it was a gay club! WTF. Sooo weird! My first!!! Stayed for a bit...then bounced, went to a pub/bar? stayed for a bit, then left and ventured onto the night bus...we definitely didn't know how to get home..Oh i tried my first subway, stole a bite from chiyo...then got on one of them buses, the N270..then finally got to ealing!! Hopped on the 297 and got home!!! Couldn't sleep :( I was still awake at 5am..knowing I had to get up soon...

Friday. Got up at 8am, showered, left at 9, got to CAPA at 10 for our internship meeting. Then had lunch at this Japanese place, I got bibimbap. Then at 1:15 Chiyo and I went to our fire safety meeting...which wasn't really about fire, but rather about how we shouldn't do drugs and get too drunk or we'll be arrested. Then we headed back on the tube to get a sim card for me, and salisbury to buy some grey goose and some soda. Bussed it back to newman court, we ran into Allie on the same bus since she just got back from her fire safety which was a bit later than ours, dropped down our stuff and left again to the CAPA Tea at the Regency London. Totally NOT what i expected! I thought it was going to be small and casual, but the reception area was very nice, there were servers going around pouring tea for you...and it was a buffet of cakes/sandwiches and other goodies. I had like....4-5 sandwiches, AHAHA, i'm crazy. It was raw salmon and like mayo or ham and mayo. DELICIOUS! Probably because it's free and i LOVEEE salmon! Then a group of us like went back to Ealing, and got some beer at Tesco, I got a 4pack...trying out so many new beers, something new to me anyways. Went back to the apt and dropped them off, and then grabbed one and headed upstairs to the "penthouse". Just chilled for like 2 hours, then everyone went to the club, Chiyo, other roommate katie and I went back to the apt and now everyone is off doing their own thing. I reheated my fish & chips, obviously not as good as when it was fresh, it was my first time turning on the oven, everything is Celsius like HK. It was so hard to bake!

Saturday. Woke up at the crack of dawn! Well, 6:30 more precisely. I ate some of my leftover bibimbap and then started getting ready to go on that panoramic tour of London. We met up at the CAPA (roommates and i minus katie because she like got off the train with zac's group and they came later) and hopped on the tour bus, we had a tour guide, they're legit a company. Some sites we saw were the tower of london, st. pauls church, london eye, gringotts!!!! big ben, and lots of monuments...learned a little about the history of london and stuff. The tour was 3 hours long. Then chiyo, taylor and i went to tesco to get some groceries...more like chicken for me. I still need liquids...

Sunday. Got up at 8am, so I won't be in anyone that wants to showers way...and NO ONE SHOWERED. LAME!!! So..we heard through the grapevine, as well as some other girls, that we were suppose to meet in front of CAPA at 11am to go to Camden Market...so we're all sitting there..til 11:30 and no one comes! So half of us decided to go by ourselves, only me and chiyo outta our flat went, katie was too tired, she came back at 6am from ministry of sound club, and allie was sick..obviously. So 3 girls plus us, we went, then bumped into other CAPA kids, who said it was actually 10am at the station..WTF! Wow, no emails, nothing! Fail CAPA! So we walked around a bit, drizzled, really cute stuff in the stores, but wayy to much even though it's considered "cheap" in London. The stands we saw, all the dresses seem to come from china or something, I swear you can get these in HK!!! But at 20lbs? HELL NO. I could have def gotten those for cheap in asia! Then it started to POUR. So we all bounced, and we visited those girls flat in Earl's Court, so close to CAPA..jealous. But they aren't as new as ours, and the bathroom wasn't as big...but the location was amazing. Zone one man. I got some cold chicken that I heated up at their flat, then Chiyo and I headed to Waterloo to scope out my workplace, and how to get there. Then we tried to go to Harrods, very famous shopping store, but also very expensive. Um, we got off at Sloane Square...and took a bus..that took us the opposite way...then had to take a bus back..and made it to Harrods for 5 mins, saw vicki!!! Then met up with her again to go eat dinner...We at near chinatown, at the spanish chicken place she loves, nandos..pricey though! But fresh. Then walked once around chinatown, and headed home.
So when we got home, Allie decided to go to the hospital, so we called her a cab, and she went, then in the middle of the night, omg so mad, got woken up, everyone did, because she was lost on the cab back. I was like "omg don't get out" then she did. Got her ass lost...so I think katie was gonna go outside to find her...but the cab came to pick her back up?? To get money?? Idk. Then I tried to sleep again..but it took ages.

Monday. Woke up at 630am. So annoyed. I left to my interview at around 8:15am. Met Kendall, the guy that was mistakenly in our room when we first got housing, I thought he was black, but he wasn't..And he's the person I met first when I got to Newman Court...he told me this on the tube, he's like "oh i was in your flat.." I'm like "whattt". So you don't know how confused I was...ahahaha, until I learned his name. I got there around 930am. Get all ready, then...the HR director tells me my interview was at 11. WHATTTT, So i took that time to walk around and look at the London Eye, Big Ben (from afar) and the westminster place. Then I tried to prepare what I would ask, what to talk about...then I went to the interview where they didn't ask me anything I prepped for. Interviewed for about 40 mins, it went very well. Then I left to go to CAPA, to sign up for my Harry potter tour, get my moneys, and eat lunch, ran into Conor, so we ate a bit at starbucks. I got a mushroom, egg, and bacon panini thing, and a mango/passion fruit drink. Then I headed back to the Marriott County Hall for an orientation, which was optional, but of course I would do it. Went on for two hours, the HR coordinator, also 19 weeks pregnant was a korean lady, who gave us the orientation. There was a guy from italy to be front desk agent, a girl from canada on the voyager program, a girl from london, just outside who's going to be a food associate, and an executive housekeeper from JW Marriott. Took a tour of the gym, the restaurant/bar, some conference room, library where they were having afternoon tea. Looked really nice. Then I left to go home. Ah, so many tube lines...tried taking the quickest one, but switched 3 times, took 30 mins or so. It was raining, so I had my umbrella all prepped, then it stopped when I got out... >__< I was gonna pick up some water, but the bus was there...and of kourse CAPA locked the front entrance door, so I had to waste more time walking to the back..

Tuesday. Today was the travel fair, I didn't have to wake up so early, thank god!! I got up at 1030 and slowly got ready, allie, chiyo, bridget, zac, and johnny and I went together...got some brochures and then everyone minus johnny, plus katie c. went to get some lunch, i got a panini/2 drinks/1 fruit for 5p at the local cafe near CAPA. They give out student discounts, so that was cool. Except...the menu we ordered off didn't give a discount, and I forgot about it..but he let me grab an extra apple because I couldn't decide which apple was nicer... Then allie and chiyo went off to shopping and the rest of us went to the science museum. It's 5 floors, so I have to go back and really look at everything next time. We did get lost a bit looking for the museum, the tube stop near there is kensington station. Then we went to a pub...but we basically went in a circle...we took the tube from SK then got off the next stop at gloucester road then we ended up walking back in the rain to SK station..I just sat with them for like 15 mins, then I left to meet vicki up at harrods since that's when she gets off work, at 5:30. We looked around Harrods, there's a puppy spa! This place is huge! It's legit a place where you can get ANYTHING, as the tour guide said. There's macs, cameras, lights, clothing, makeup, food...whatever, even magazines!
Then we took the tube to some other place, went to this huge Top Shop to look for flats for work...then other stores, but I didn't like anything. Then we walked to chinatown to eat..we got some food at HK Cafe. Ah, so expensive~ I got beef chow fun 6.50p and a mango tapioca drink 3.30p. Then around 930, we headed home...
